About

I’ve always thought of myself as a creative person. Writing, theatre, making music, and making art have been a part of me for all of my life. I find it all of these things very connected. I even find that cooking is best enjoyed from a creative perspective.

I used to write plays and musicals for community projects and for school performances and workshops. I’ve also co-written a short film script that received a Telly Award.

I self-published my first KDP ebook in 2013 – a cookbook.

I mostly worked on things on snow days and summer breaks because I was a very busy National Board Certified teacher. (music, and then Gifted and Talented classes)

I’m enjoying having more time to devote to writing now that I’ve retired from the job with the public schools. (I do still enjoy volunteering now and then and teaching drama workshops)

I also enjoy playing with my granddaughter (another one on the way!) and going to Crossfit Countdown for my functional fitness. I walk my rescue hound, Barron, all around the hills in my neighborhood every day while thinking about the characters in the current book I’m writing or listening to podcasts about brain research, aging biohacking, or writing.
